Translational Pancreatic Cancer Research Center

The Translational Pancreatic Cancer Research Center aims to bring state-of-the-art cancer research into clinical application.

This type of personalized oncology is to be implemented within the framework of clinical translational trials with an interdisciplinary team of study coordinators, physicians and scientists.

A central technology is the establishment and characterization of patient-derived three-dimensional cell cultures, so-called organoids, which are molecularly profiled and tested for therapeutic vulnerabilities. In the future, these therapeutic tests will be incorporated into clinical oncology decision making.
